Massage Therapy — 01

RMT Massage

Registered Massage Therapy — clinical, results-driven bodywork for pain, postural issues, and recovery, eligible for most extended health benefits.

About RMT Massage

Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) is therapeutic bodywork performed by a provincially regulated Registered Massage Therapist. Unlike relaxation massage, RMT is clinically oriented — your therapist assesses posture, range of motion, and soft-tissue restriction, then delivers a targeted treatment using techniques such as deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and joint mobilisation.

Because RMTs are regulated healthcare practitioners, sessions are eligible for reimbursement under most extended health benefit plans. A receipt with the RMT's registration number is provided after every treatment.

  • Chronic neck, shoulder, and back tension
  • Postural strain from desk work and screens
  • Sports recovery and injury rehabilitation
  • Headaches and TMJ-related discomfort
  • Pregnancy-related discomfort (with appropriate assessment)
  • Stress, sleep difficulty, and nervous system regulation

Available in 30, 45, 60, 75, and 90-minute sessions. A course of regular treatments (weekly or biweekly initially, then monthly maintenance) is recommended for chronic concerns.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most extended health benefit plans in Canada cover RMT services to varying annual maximums. We provide an official receipt with your therapist's registration number after every treatment for direct submission to your insurer. We recommend confirming your specific coverage with your provider in advance.
RMT is clinical, assessment-based, and goal-oriented — typically used to address specific pain, tension patterns, or injuries, and is insurance-eligible. Swedish massage is primarily relaxation-focused, using lighter, flowing strokes to reduce stress and improve circulation. Both are deeply restorative — the right choice depends on your goals.
For chronic pain or injury rehabilitation, weekly or biweekly sessions initially are most effective. Once concerns are well managed, most patients move to monthly maintenance. Your therapist will recommend an ideal frequency based on your assessment and goals.
Absolutely. Pressure should always remain within your tolerance. Your therapist will check in regularly, and you are welcome — and encouraged — to ask for more or less pressure at any time during the session.

Swedish Massage

Classic relaxation massage — long, flowing strokes that release stress, improve circulation, and restore a profound sense of calm.

About Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is the foundational technique of Western relaxation bodywork — a graceful sequence of long, gliding strokes (effleurage), kneading (petrissage), gentle friction, and rhythmic tapping designed to soothe muscles, increase circulation, and quiet the nervous system.

Where RMT is clinical and targeted, Swedish massage is restorative and immersive — an invitation to drop out of the day and into deep parasympathetic rest. It is the ideal complement to our facial and wellness treatments, and a beautiful self-care ritual on its own.

  • Everyday stress and mental fatigue
  • Mild to moderate muscle tension
  • Poor sleep and difficulty unwinding
  • Improved circulation and lymphatic flow
  • General wellness and self-care maintenance
  • Pre-event relaxation and pampering

Available in 60, 75, and 90-minute sessions. Regular monthly treatments produce lasting benefits to mood, sleep, and overall wellbeing.

What to Expect

01
Brief Intake
A short conversation about your health, any areas to focus on, and your preferred pressure and atmosphere.
02
Settle In
Your therapist steps out while you undress to your comfort level and settle beneath warm linens on the heated table.
03
The Massage
Long, fluid strokes from head to toe — with gentle music, soft light, and warm oils — guide you into deep relaxation.
04
Emerge Gently
Time is given to slowly return after the treatment, with water and a quiet moment before stepping back into the day.

Total appointment time: 60–90 minutes. No downtime — though many guests prefer to keep the evening unhurried.

Pre-Treatment

  • Hydrate well in the hours leading up to your appointment
  • Avoid heavy meals or alcohol immediately before
  • Disclose any allergies, sensitivities, medical conditions, or pregnancy
  • Arrive a few minutes early to settle into the space

Post-Treatment

  • Continue to hydrate well for the rest of the day
  • Allow yourself a slow, unhurried transition back to activity
  • A warm bath or quiet evening will extend the benefits
  • Mild relaxation, sleepiness, or emotional release afterward is normal
